The deepest souls have to find their way in the world while guarding their sensitive hearts. My poetry is the light that we shine even though our souls can go darker, and deeper. Read between the lines, and feel my words. I hope you enjoy reading my art!

For over ten years RAYMOND KIRK and Todd Sukany have collaborated on poems that they call mirror poetry, using a simple system of sharing a title, writing for a week (or so) in response, and then comparing the results. Their topics arise from the stuff of life: love, pain, joy, separation, humor, and occasionally more humor. The poems in each "Book of Mirrors" chronicle the growth of the two poets in life and craft. This volume spans 27 April 2016 ~ 28 August 2016.

This book has been a long time coming. Some of these poems were written several years ago when I lost my dad to suicide, and some are brand new. When compiling this book, there were some that were stripped down and left on the cutting room floor. There were some that I meshed together to form one poem. A flower can be given to a friend, a companion, a stranger, the dead, whichever and whatever, in terms of situation or circumstance. This is my proverbial flower to any foe out there that reads and comprehends the words and meanings, and perhaps a foe one will no longer be.

Too often we measure a person’s worth entirely by what one possesses in the way of substance and public image…. Overlooking the far greater: all one avoided becoming….
